David Gaines

CEO of La Terza Coffee & SEA Cincinnati Board Chair

David is the CEO and Chief Visionary for La Terza Artisan Coffee Roasterie, a full-service coffee resource that provides the highest quality coffee for consumers, equipment and education for restaurants and coffee shops, and more. After working for years in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors, he felt pulled toward social enterprise and the way La Terza provided phenomenal coffee while positively impacting workers worldwide. He believes in the power of coffee to foster human connection, and know that coffee shops play an important role in the social health of our communities.

It’s not just coffee though. David sees a new type of business model where we can not only make a profit, but also better the lives of people involved in our supply chains, our local community, employees, customers, competition, planet, and even ourselves. That's why, in addition to being the Board Chair of SEA Cincinnati, he is a podcast host, consultant, speaker, and upcoming author of the Seven Seeds of Social Enterprise.

Aaron Bradley

Assistant Professor of Experience Based Learning and Career Education at the University of Cincinnati

With a focus in the creative sector, Aaron teaches courses in design thinking and innovation, brand identity and aesthetic development, professional practice, and collaborative studios.  He also leads the development of an experiential education program for students in interdisciplinary fine arts majors, the first and only of its kind in the country. His passion for boundary stretching and program development has led to the creation and instruction of new courses and a variety of unique collaborations with industry partners, as well as speaking and consulting opportunities across the US.  Prior to working in Higher Education, his career included the development and instruction of a college-prep business management and marketing program for high schools in Ohio, marketing and program direction for non-profit organizations, and a stint in Nashville as a professional musician, producer, and performance coach – a pursuit he continues to enjoy when not working his “day job”.  Along with music, art, and design, he also enjoys adventure sports and travel, motorcycles, and coffee snobbery.

Chris Flores

Partner & Lead Advisor at Three Corners Capital

After graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a BBA in Finance and International Business, Chris Flores started his financial planning and investment advisory practice from ground level in January 2008. His focus was, and continues to be, helping clients make meaningful change through charitable planning and socially responsible, sustainable and impact investing. He is now responsible for managing client assets over $120 Million and, as one of only two investment advisory firms in Ohio that are members of the US Sustainable Investment Forum, Chris has been a leader in sustainable and responsible investing.

One of Chris’ most meaningful professional experiences was working with a multibillion-dollar insurance company to provide one million dollars of free life insurance to families who otherwise wouldn’t have been able to afford coverage for the sole purpose of meeting educational expenses of children in the underprivileged communities of Cincinnati. Chris has been able to share his passion for sustainable and responsible investing and philanthropy through articles podcasts and speaking engagements. Originally from the Chicago area, Chris has become entrenched in the Cincinnati community. After graduating from the University of Cincinnati as a two-year starter on the football team and two-time Academic All Big East, Chris now supports UC through volunteer efforts with the UC Foundation. He also serves on the Leadership Council for Th Women’s Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, board of Green Umbrella, and board for the Cincinnati Chapter of the Social Enterprise Alliance. Chris and his wife, Julie, have also been active in Social Venture Partners. They reside in Clifton with their daughter.

Gayle Hilleke

Senior Advisor at Flywheel and Executive Director of Kentucky Campus Contact

Gayle Hilleke has worked for Flywheel as a senior advisor since August 2011. Gayle brings over thirty years of experience in strengthening communities through work in nonprofits, educational institutions, and government agencies. As a skilled program
manager, leader and facilitator, her focus is on using strength-based strategies in promoting community change and personal growth. Prior to moving to the greater Cincinnati area, Gayle spent eight years in Washington D.C. at the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) where she served as an AmeriCorps program officer and as a project manager for a national assessment initiative that helped build the capacity of state and local nonprofits. Prior to working at CNCS, she was the first program officer of the Ohio Commission on Service and Volunteerism (Serve Ohio) from 1994-1997. Currently, Gayle also serves as the executive director of Kentucky Campus Compact, a membership organization of Kentucky college and university president committed to the civic purposes of higher education. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Gayle has a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University and a master’s degree in Organization Development from American University in Washington, D.C.

Bob Behr

Manager at Easterseals

With his position at Easter Seals, Bob enjoys contributing and helping to improve the lives and work of all individuals that Easterseals TriState serves. Together with his team, Bob works to break down barriers to employment for people with disabilities, people facing disadvantages, and veterans. They are committed to building a more diverse and inclusive workforce and community in Greater Cincinnati.

Previously, Bob has been instrumental in the growth of the video game industry. He is also the leader of his son's Cub Scout Den and enjoys being a part of a vintage baseball club in Dayton.

Kari Kelly

Executive Director of Atypical Workplace

Atypical Workplace is a Business Agility firm committed to helping leaders cultivate adaptable, bold, and courageous teams that are inclusive by design. Kari's experience includes culture transformation projects and change management. She has worked in the nonprofit sector as well as technology and biopharma, the most notable being Apple. Before pursuing a career in adult learning and performance, she was a research physicist at Imperial College London where she fell in love with the learning process and switched careers. Kari is currently writing a book called Agile Tribes which will be published in late 2019 or early 2020 with New Degree Press.

Elena Terán

Director of Purpose & Thrive Accelerator at Ingage Partners

Elena worked globally in the nonprofit sector for 10 years managing education programs for underserved populations. In her current role at Ingage Partners, Elena helps employees find the nexus between profession and purpose and supports bringing IT career opportunities to non-traditional candidates. She enjoys the process of finding the root cause of social problems and developing programming that begins to address the underlying causes. Elena volunteers at Ten Thousand Villages and is happiest cooking, traveling, backpacking and spending time with her favorite people.

Mariela Oyola-Brauch

Founder & CEO of Jibaro

Jibaro is a lifestyle brand with a mission to celebrate and promote authentic Puerto Rican heritage. The company sells men, women and kids apparel including shirts and hats, and decorative items for the home, donating ten percent of all profits toward nonprofit organizations based in Puerto Rico. 

After obtaining a Chemistry degree from the University of Puerto Rico - Mayagüez Campus and a master’s degree at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, Mariela worked as a chemist for almost ten years, developing and innovating consumer products for Procter & Gamble. Mariela’s passion to serve those in need led her to work at Crossroads Health Center, an inner-city medical clinic, and as a Spanish medical interpreter at the local hospitals.  Along with being a fulltime mother, Mariela is an active volunteer; who has mentored a young girl for 10 years, participated and led numerous domestic and international service travel to trips to Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and Central and South America.
